Dalian Development, China

This feasibility study was necessary for a New Zealand based Asian property developer to develop a development vision for a new sustainable city for their new development project in Dalian, China. Accordingly, several sustainable design principles have been developed first, with a development outline to demonstrate how the principles can be achieved. An illustrative master plan with 3d sketch images was prepared as the final product for land acquiring purposes.

The master plan vision includes water sensitive urban design, solar power and other infrastructure self-sufficiency, an appropriate public transport network, and various land uses for the core urban area to support a 24/7 active city centre.
